(Travelogue as told by Mr. Justin Sebastian)

DAY 1 (2nd January): TRIVANDRUM - KOVALAM

In the morning, I had reached the Trivandrum International Airport, to receive the guests on their arrival. After the guests arrived, we moved on to the destination of
Kovalam, where the guests were to stay. The hotel in which the guests had booked the stay was at a little distance away from Kovalam and hence we had decided to visit the famous Hawah Beach and Light House Beach on the way. After the beach tour we had our lunch and then proceeded on to the hotel and initiated the check in by 1 pm. I left the guests to take some rest and met them in the evening to take them to the beach to enjoy the sunset. By night we reached back to the hotel and ended the day.

DAY 2 (3rd January): KOVALAM - KUMARAKOM

After breakfast, I picked the guests from the hotel and took them to Kumarakom. On the way we visited the attractions of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Museum and Zoo and many more sights. By 7 pm we reached the parking area of the hotel. From here the guests had to take a 10 minute boat ride to reach their hotel. The guests boarded the boat that was in waiting there and got ready to go. I wished them good night and said that I would meet them the next day.

DAY 3 (4th January): KUMARAKOM - ALLEPPEY

I picked up the guests from the hotel's parking lot by 10:30 in the morning and all of us left off to Alappuzha/Alleppey. At here, they boarded on to the houseboat by 12 noon and set out on a cruise of the majestic Kuttanadu Backwaters.

DAY 4 (5th January): ALLEPPEY - THEKKADY

thekkady

The guests arrived back after the houseboat night cruise in the morning. I asked them about this cruise, to which they said happily that it was great and that they had a once in a lifetime experience. Their faces clearly showed that they were indeed very delighted. From here I took them to Thekkady. The natural beauty offered on the way had delighted the guests. They were all praises for Kerala's greenery and for the people who maintained this serene greenery. Once here the guests were taken around Thekkady after which they were dropped back at the hotel for the night's stay.

DAY 5 (6th January): THEKKADY - MUNNAR

We started off from Thekkady in the morning itself. We went through the Kattapana -Idukki route, as the main route to Munnar was closed due to maintenance works. En route I stopped the van by the road side to get a view of the Idukki Dam. There was yet another two hours journey from here and hence we took a brake here. Enjoying the cascading waterfalls, we had a cup of tea from the roadside stall and freshened ourselves up. We got into the van and continued on our journey to Munnar. We travelled through the road on the side of the forests. On the way we also saw the Chengulam Dam. At Munnar, I drove the van through the streets that were lined with the tea plantations. To enjoy the cool breeze of Munnar, I had switched off the A/C and had requested the guests to open up the windows. The cool and refreshing breeze was coming in and going out, totally making the atmosphere chill and different. As we continued our journey, I showed the guests Attukad Waterfalls. The guests had booked rooms in a hotel near the Munnar Hydel Park. At that time there was a flower show happening there. On reaching there the guests first checked into the hotel and then went to see the flower show. By night they returned back for the night's rest.

DAY 6 (7th January): MUNNAR

In the morning after breakfast, I took the guests around Munnar for a sightseeing tour. Being the holidays of New Year, heavy rush could be seen. Even though we faced a little difficulty, I managed to take the guests to the attractions of Kundala Dam, Echo Point, Mattupetty Dam, Photo Point, Honey Bee Tree, Tea Factory and so on. We returned back to the hotel after the sightseeing tour.

DAY 7 (8th January): MUNNAR - FORT KOCHI

We started off to Kochi and on the way saw the famous Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls. After almost 4 hours we reached the Fort Kochi Beach. The guests spent some time at the beach and then we moved on to the historical part of Fort Kochi. They were taken to St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Net, Mattancherry Palace, Jew Street, Synagogue and so on. By evening we reached the hotel at Ernakulam/Kochi, where the guests checked in.
